CELEBRATE!
It is my belief that edublogs.org blogs are now accessible in DECS schools and preschools – once created away from the site. Test links below. http://edublogs.org/
edublogs = “Free blogs for teachers, researchers, librarians and other educational professionals”
I have a lot of energy and commitment to supporting the establishment of collaborative networks in South Australia. I recommend edublogs.org as a means to creating cohesive and collaborative networks to support our learning.
Any feedback can be sent to the duplicate post on my blog, add a comment

… please keep me in the loop concerning any individual blogs or blogging networks you know of or have created.
Any individual questions, please reply to my email address only

After much research, I use wordpress.com – blogs can be created and maintained at school. At this stage it seems that edublogs.org (a service with an installed version of WordPress) is catching up and can be maintained at school once created at home or at TSoF.
*** It makes a lot of sense to me to consider signing up with edublogs.org
If you are considering blogging within SA education environments, you will want the support of those who use the same or similar service interstate and internationally. edublogs gives us a cohesive educative environment with more than 10,000 members plus has the ability and features to grow and adapt to meet our needs.
here is a test of the blogs + my guesses

NB edublogs has great support, is sponsored (Yacapaca – http://www.chalkface.com/), has a forum (http://www.edublogs.org/forums/) and wiki (http://www.wikispaces.com/) both still filtered, plugins (eg have a slide show of annotated pictures on your blog! – RockYou http://www.rockyou.com/, use Google Analytics), has the same blueprint as wordpress.com and …

Hi Al. I attended the first day of the CEGSA Conference and was amazed at some of things I saw and heard especially the bits from various presenters about ‘blogs’. I’ll say no more but invite you to have a look at my first attempt at a blog!
It’s frankinsa.wordpress.com
Welcome Frank, I’m glad you enjoyed the conference. Congratulations – making your first entry and taking the plunge’ really is the way into the this vast online world of collaboration and networking. Both professional and student learning outcomes can be enhanced through the use of blogs. If you have any questions just ask and I’ll see what I can find out if I don’t already know. I’ll be adding you to my bloglines to see how your journey progresses. All the best, Al
