We are studying changing technology by exploring toys
including computer games.

Compare toys in the past and present.
Look at what is the same, similar and different.
What might toys be like in the future?

Al:  Check out this excellent site by Jackie Miers
http://www.teachers.ash.org.au/jmresources/toys/children.html

http://www.seedwiki.com/wiki/ourchangingtimes/ This is a 2004 miniLegend wiki also about technology and change. Have a look at the 'Toys and Games' page :)

Al: Don't forget you can paste in links to appropriate websites, pictures and add new sub pages (eg 'Bears' – didn't someone say they wanted a 'Bear Day'?)
If links are filtered have a look at them with your folks at home.

Technolgy Through the Decades – http://www.time-warp.org/  [filtered]
"Select a decade to begin your exploration"

Computer Games – http://www.hiddenlevel.co.uk/GAM/  [filtered]
"A dozen classic games you really should have played! – and if you click on the pictures you can." Scroll to the bottom or click the 'End' key. Actually we should add a 'Links' sub page to our wiki page

This rubber band gun is made out of a couple of pieces of wood and fires a single rubber band. I used to have a commercial rubber band gun that you could load with four or more rubber bands and shoot them off semi-automatic style. That’s pretty groovy. Mine melted and warped after I left it on the back seat of my car on a hot day. The rubber-band gun that I describe here is more like a muzzle-loading flint lock. But it works and it is fun.

In America, toy bears begin to be called “Teddy Bears” after President Theodore Roosevelt. In only a few years, Teddy Bear-mania sweeps the world and by 1915, large-scale toy bear manufacturing is in full swing. copyed

MYSTERY OBJECT

Mr Upton have brought in a MYSTERY OBJECT and knowbody knows what it is yet. Only Mr Upton does. The MYSTERY OBJECT was in a brown little box.The MYSTERY OBJECT could be furry and the colour I think it could be is white or grey. I think the MYSTERY OBJECT is something that was in the class room so I am guessing that the MYSTERY OBJECT could be some kind of bear and its brown but I will wait and see…………..

Congratulations years 3 & 4. What a great site you have. Grade 3V at Kerrimuir Primary in Victoria are only just starting to learn about blogging. As you can see our blog is a simple one, but we are learning new things each day. At the moment we just write about our day to day happenenings in the classroom. As I get more familiar with this technology stuff I hope one day our site will be as good as yours. Well done again
